Happy Friday!

Hello friends! So last Sunday I did my timed three mile run on my own in order to figure out what pace group I'm in. I ran it in 36 minutes which I was pretty disappointed about. I chalk it up to the fact that I hadn't run in almost a week. On Tuesday I went for a four mile run and I felt great! I wish I had done the timed run that day. Unfortunately, I haven't run since Tuesday and it will probably be awhile before I can run again- because it's POTTY TRAINING WEEKEND! Wooo-hooo! I'm taking the intensive cold turkey approach to potty training- no more diapers, period. I'm sure all of you with potty training experience are rolling your eyes right now, but that's the goal- we'll see. Because of the potty training though (which I'm oddly excited about, mostly because I think Nico will look adorable in his tiny superman boxer briefs) I won't really be able to leave the house. I'll probably be at the mercy of Katie and Cam to see if they would be willing to deal with Nico peeing all over the floor while I go for a quick run :) I'm assuming this potty training thing is going to take at least a week, and Nico is with me next weekend too (yay!), so I imagine I'll have to stay in a bit that weekend as well. Fingers crossed he his a champion potty training student!

I got a groupon awhile back for 15 yoga classes for $15- I know, a total steal. So I signed up for sessions through July, but I can only go when I don't have Nico, but that's okay. Does anyone have suggestions for cross-training I can do at home when I have Nico? I would also like to get into Pilates because I've heard amazing things, but I picked up a brochure from a studio and it was like $1200 for a pack of 20 sessions. Um, yeah, no. So if anyone knows any good beginners Pilates videos, that would be awesome.

I still need to get new running shoes- but just haven't seemed to have a moment (or the money) to do so. I really want to get on that because I my shoes are way to small and I don't want screw up my feet this early in the game (or ever in the game, really). Also, I've heard about peoples toe nails turning black and falling off from shoes that are too small and I just really think that would screw up my monthly pedi plans. But shoes probably aren't going to happen until the week after next. This weekend we're doing a four mile run, which will be no problem. Next week it's 5. The week I finally get to meet my group is a six miler- and I can't freaking wait! If anyone has any suggestions on food, gear, gels, etc- I am always open to suggestions, because frankly I have no clue what I'm doing. Or if anyone has potty-training advice, that would be cool too :)

I had a job interview yesterday! It was actually just a phone interview with a recruiter for law firms, but still! She emailed me and said she wants me to come into their office for an in person interview, which makes me think she may have a position she thinks I should apply for. So I have to find the time to do that, plus take this test she sent me. I don't like taking tests- especially when I have no idea what they are going to be testing me on. It will be fine though.

As always- don't forget to donate!!! Thanks for the support!

  2. Yay! I just bookmarked your blog so you better update haha! Good luck with all the training! Hayden and I use the Hammer gels...chocolate is so yummy. It is a more natural gel (at least that's what we are told) and easier on sensitive stomachs (sorry if that's TMI). Buying new running shoes is possibly my favorite thing. :) I look forward to your future posts. I love the mommy maggie too! Good luck with potty training I am sure it will be very successful. Love you mags!
